Alyse Ogletree set the Guinness World Record for the largest amount of breast milk donated by a person, approximately 2,645.58 liters.

Directly from Texas, Alyse Ogletree set the Guinness World Record after donating 2,645.58 liters of breast milk. She had already broken this record when her son Kyle was born in 2010.

The nurses at the time noticed how much extra milk Alyse was producing and suggested that she donate it to women who were struggling to breastfeed their babies.

In an interview with Guinness, she said she was more than happy to donate and help others.

“I have a big heart, but in the end, I’m not made of money, and I can’t donate repeatedly to good causes because I have a family to support,” Alyse explained.

“I was producing excess milk and throwing it away, not realizing that this overproduction was unique and that other mothers were struggling,” she said, explaining that she didn’t know it was possible to donate breast milk.

When Kyle stopped breastfeeding, she had already donated 1,569.79 liters to the Mother’s Milk Bank of North Texas. After her other two children were born, she donated over 2,000 liters to the Tiny Treasures milk bank.

The Mother’s Milk Bank of North Texas reported that each liter of milk can feed 11 premature babies, meaning that Alyse’s milk may have fed about 350,000 babies across Texas.
